In August 2004, through Silent Key harvesting (which is no longer possible), I applied for - and received - my new license with the very old callsign of W1AL (pictured left). This coveted call would be the very best I could get, and I figure I would never give it up for another.  The call goes back to 1928 (a QSL from 1930 is pictured below). I also applied for and received yet another Rhode Island license plate (pictured below).

Also, the Island Hunters ARC changed its callsign to AA1J on August 28, 2004.

I was not very active at all during this entire decade.  I scarcely filled 12 logbook pages.
