My computing interests continued to flourish, using the Tandy 1000 TX computer, adding a 3 1/4" floppy disk drive in March 1990. I also purchased many add-on cards and software, including an early issue of Microsoft Windows 2.0. I was interested in GUIs back before they were a common part of our lives like today. This Windows version 2.0 lacked many of the features of version 3.0. DOS programs still dominated the market.

In June 1990, I purchased the AEA Isoloop three-band antenna for HF, spending $349 including the control cable. It had a control box for remote tuning. My Isoloop, the first version of two, had a square plastic box with a U-shape rod attached.

I added greatly to my Islands-On-the-Air (I.O.T.A.) totals this year.

Also, during 1990, I added 10 more countries to my DXCC total.
