On March 25, 1989, I bought my first IBM-compatible computer, the Tandy 1000 TX 286 based, with a 20 MB hard drive card and serial mouse. (pictured left)
It cost me a total of $1494.00 A few days later, I purchased an Imtec 13" multi-sync monitor, costing me another $400. In May of 1989, I bought my first digital capture board, a monochrome model from Computereyes.
In December 1989, I qualified for my 2nd Islands-On-the-Air certificate - the IOTA 200 Islands of the World.
During the year 1989, I added 10 DXCC countries to my totals.
